Have a friend hold the scooter, or place it on something to help hold it upright

The Silver pin is the lock pin, the Black flat is the steering pin.

Pull the safety clip over the end of the lock pin, shown in silver

Remove the safety lock pin, the hole is now visible

Now taking hold of the Black steering pin, pull it out of the steering fork

The steering fork is now free from the platform, and ready to transport

Replace the Black steering pin, and the Silver safety pin, to prevent loosing
